If you’re a regular visitor, you’ve probably noticed our blog has a brand-new theme. Change can be surprising, but this update was necessary and ultimately for the better. Let me walk you through the reasons behind the switch. Here’s Why We Made the Change:

Technical Troubles with the Old Theme

The biggest motivator? Our previous theme started causing some strange behind-the-scenes issues. While these glitches weren’t visible to you, they created headaches for us on the admin side. After some investigation, it became clear that sticking with the old setup wasn’t sustainable.

Not Being Updated as Expected

Another major factor: the old theme’s developer hadn’t released updates in a long time – despite it being a paid product. WordPress evolves constantly, and running an outdated theme poses security and compatibility risks. For something we rely on daily, that lack of support was unacceptable.

A Cleaner, More Modern Design

And yes, I simply prefer the look of this one! Aesthetics matter, and this theme aligns better with the clean, functional experience we want for our readers. It took some adjusting (old habits die hard), but now that I’m used to it, I’m genuinely happy with the choice. In fact, I might roll it out across some of our other sites.

Do I Miss Anything from the Old Theme?

Absolutely. A few features and quirks were lost in the transition, but the trade-offs are worth it. The benefits of reliability, modern design, and ongoing updates far outweigh the minor drawbacks.
